The tundra is treeless primarily due to the harsh environmental conditions found in this biome. The extreme cold temperatures, permafrost (permanently frozen soil), strong winds, and short growing season make it difficult for trees to survive. Additionally, the shallow soil layer and lack of nutrients further limit tree growth in the tundra. Instead, the tundra is dominated by low-lying vegetation such as grasses, mosses, lichens, and shrubs that are better adapted to these challenging conditions. **

It ultimately depends on the specific rules and regulations of the WBO tournament in question. Some tournaments may allow treeless saddles, while others may have specific requirements for the type of saddle allowed. It is important to carefully review the tournament guidelines and reach out to the organizers for clarification if needed. **

The best treeless saddles are those that are well-constructed, comfortable for both the horse and rider, and provide good weight distribution. Some popular brands known for their quality treeless saddles include Freeform, Barefoot, and Ghost. These saddles are designed to mimic the natural movement of the horse's back and provide a close contact feel for the rider. It's important to consider the specific needs of both the horse and rider when choosing a treeless saddle, as fit and comfort are crucial for both. **

To mount a treeless saddle, start by placing a mounting block or sturdy object next to the horse. Adjust the stirrups to the appropriate length for mounting. Stand on the mounting block, facing the horse, and place your left foot in the left stirrup. Push yourself up and swing your right leg over the horse's back to sit in the saddle. Make sure to adjust your position and balance once you are seated in the saddle. **

These saddles are often lighter in weight and allow for better communication between the rider and the horse.
